Puppet Show

About a week ago we started a sticker reward system to attempt to reward Caroline's good behavior. When she has 5 good days and gets 5 stickers, she gets a "special surprise". For her first surprise I took her to see a Beauty and The Beast Puppet Show since she loves Belle. It turned out to be a marionette puppet show and it was a little weird. About 30 seconds into it, Caroline looked at me and said "Mommy, I'm scared." But it ended up being cute and the puppeteer let Caroline come on stage and take a picture with Belle since she was wearing her Belle dress (of course).

Here is Caroline watching the show.

Here are Caroline and the puppet. Look at the puppeteer above - cool!

A close up of the Belles.

Last weekend Kevin's dad Kenneth came to visit so here is a picture of Paw Paw Kenneth and Caroline.

My parents came on Sunday afternoon. Caroline (aka Aurora) decided to make a pallet out of Papa on the floor while he tried to watch the big football game.

We are off to Disney World tomorrow - can't wait!!

Two Caroline stories

1. First of all, Caroline gets the words "beat" and "meet" confused. We have found the best and fastest way to get Caroline to get dressed in the morning is to race. I say "I'm going to race you and see who gets dressed the fastest. On you mark, get set, go!" Then I run into my room and she stays in her room and we see who gets dressed the fastest. As she is getting dressed in her room she yells "I'm going to meet you, Mommy!" Also, when we race, in the house or outside, she runs really fast and yells "I'm going to meet you!!" It doesn't matter how many times we tell her its "beat", she still prefers to say "meet"...and secretly it makes me smile bigger than anything else right now!

2. On Monday night we were at home talking with Caroline about her day. I asked if she took a nap at school and she said "Yes, but I was really cold." I asked why she was cold and she said "because I didn't have a blanket." At that moment I realized I forgot to get her blanket out of the dryer and send it to school with her. My poor baby laid on her nap mat and shivered because I forgot the blanket. I might have cried a little because I could just imagine my sweet Caroline laying there so cold. Needless to say, I immediately got her blanket out of the dryer and set it by the back door so we would remember to take it to school. I bet I won't forget her blanket again for a long time!

A Visit from the Rameys!

Before we get into the weekend, here are some pictures of Caroline in her Belle dress. She says its her wedding dress so we have pretend weddings where she marries Kevin and I play the piano for them to walk down the aisle (hallway). Here she is with a pansy from the front yard as her wedding flowers.

While David and April were over watching the Cowboys game, Caroline decided to stand on her chair and clean dishes which made us laugh because it looked like the Cinderella story.

Katie and Matt came to visit us this weekend and brought their 5 month old son, Pierce. He is the cutest thing ever! We just couldn't get enough of him! We were literally begging to babysit so we didn't have to share him with his parents. Caroline is completely in love with Pierce and I think he might feel the same way about her. She held him as often as she could and would pat his belly with her hand. Precious!

Fun on Christmas Break

These are just some fun, random pictures taken the week after Christmas before we went back to school/work.

Caroline riding a princess bike in Dick's Sporting Goods. Much to our surprise, the bike was actually TOO SMALL for her. When did our little girl get too big for a little bike?!

Yes, she is wearing her sunglasses in the store. Did you expect anything less?

Caroline and Farrah watching a Dora Christmas movie together at our house.
Caroline smothering, I mean holding, Azzam (Farrah's little brother).

New Year's Eve before heading to the House of Blues to see a Reckless Kelly concert.

Caroline and Emerson playing with the Dance Cam while wearing princess dresses.

Caroline's Show and Tell at school this week was for the letter "P" so she took her new penguin - they have matching scarves. I love it!
