Reading together

William loves when Caroline reads to him. This was from Saturday night.

But now William can "read" a couple books to Caroline. Last night he "read" a Pete the Cat book to her. So cute!

"Chillax"

As we were coming in from a walk last night, Caroline started this conversation...

C: Is chillax in the dictionary?
Me: I have no idea.
C: Can you check?
Me: Sure. Why?
C: Because if it's not, can you take me to see a judge so I can have it officially added to the dictionary. And then I will be famous.

This kid is always thinking!

William is sick

It's 2:30 AM and William has a fever...but he won't sleep. He's really cute though. :)

William in soccer

In January, William started an indoor soccer class at a gymnastics facility near our house. He loves it! He is younger than the allowed age for the class but they let him and the coach tries really hard to include him even though he is a lot younger than the rest of the class.

As I sit here and watch him, I am laughing because he is running so hard and so fast and hustling like crazy...but he has absolutely no idea where the ball is or why he is running. But he is smiling and sweating and having a blast "playing soccer".

St. Patrick's Day party

We decided to have a Green Party to celebrate my (diluted) Irish heritage. Plus Rosemary needs a little distraction right now. We had a great time eating a very green dinner that included zero veggies.

William loves his toys

William loves his toys. He plays with his cars and Imaginext toys all the time. This is what the train table looks like all the time.

Hide and seek

I guess he can't see what we see. :)

Running out of hot water

Not too long after Caroline turned 8, we let her start showering by herself in her bathroom. It's been a wonderful transition. She loves the freedom and I love her independence! The only problem is that we seem to be running out of hot water when we take a shower now and that has never been a problem.

The other day Caroline was telling Kevin how she likes to lay in her bathtub while the shower is on and let it "rain" on her. She said it feels like a massage. Ha! I think we know where our hot water is going. :)

"Yesterday"

William loves to refer to "yesterday". It is a reference to any time before right now. Yesterday could be the day before, 10 minutes ago, or two years ago. He just told me about when he played in the snow "yesterday". It's so funny but it definitely does not help us understand what he is explaining to us.
