Polar Express on Christmas Eve Eve

On Christmas Eve Eve, a new holiday we've decided to celebrate, we had family night. Well it was family night minus William who was already asleep. We wore our Christmas pjs, watched the Polar Express, drank hot chocolate with peppermint whipped cream, and sprinkles. Then I painted mine and Caroline's nails red for Christmas. What a fun, laid back night!!

Snowball

This year for Caroline's birthday we gave her a kitten. She named it Snowball after a kitten her Nana use to have. Snowball is about 10 weeks old and now lives in our garage. Caroline stays in the garage for hours reading to Snowball, singing and playing the guitar for her or just petting her. They are precious together!

Snowball is a gray/tan/black tabby. Were you expecting a fluffy, white kitten? :)

Caroline is 5 years old!

Has it really been 5 years already?! Happy Birthday to our Sweet Caroline!
To start her special day, we made her a #5 pancake. And not just any pancake. Its made from yellow cake batter with chocolate chips with sprinkles and chocolate syrup. Yum.

One of the many times we sang to Caroline and she blew out a candle over a few day period. This kid milked her special day and stretched it into a week. Can you blame her?

While eating breakfast we decided to "interview" her, a tradition we would like to keep doing going forward. We let her answer exactly how she wanted without any prompting, probing, or filtering from us. The insight into her thoughts is absolutely priceless.
