Books

In the last couple of weeks, William has fallen in love with books and reading. All he wants to do is sit in my lap and listen to me read. I'm loving it. He says "read book" so many times each day. Today we read at least 20 books.

This morning, I asked him to get out a couple books he wanted me to read to him and this is what he did.

Love this guy!

William's allergy testing

After a few months of allergy symptoms, we had William tested this morning to see what kind of allergies he has. It turns out that he's allergic to cedar and very allergic to the same exact outdoor mold as Caroline. He was a trooper through the 1.5 hour appointment and we are pleased to know what we are dealing with.

RIP Charlie

Our beloved fish Charlie has passed away tonight at the age of 4 months old. He was a loyal fish that required very little effort, which I appreciated.

I noticed something was wrong with him this afternoon and a google search told me he had "swim bladder disease". I told Kevin I would take him to the vet tomorrow - good April Fools joke, right? I did everything the internet said to help a fish with swim bladder disease - changed his water, warmed it up, put kosher salt in it and peeled a frozen pea and cut it up into tiny pieces to feed the guy. Alas, Charlie was called home to be with Dorothy our first fish that was given to us as a going away gift when we moved from Dallas to San Antonio. (Dorothy moved to SA via my car's cup holder and died three days after arriving in our new home. Oops.)

The kids don't know anything was wrong with Charlie so hopefully all goes well in the morning.

Here is Charlie having his last supper of green peas.
