Allison and Saleh were in town for a wedding so we kept Farrah and Azzam that night. The kids had so much fun together and William was excited to join in the fun.









One morning, Caroline decided if she wore sunglasses it would make our tv into a 3D tv. She put the glasses on and told me the 3D show was awesome!



Caroline drew a cool picture on her chalkboard. Its a flower and below the grass is the dirt, roots, and a seed. We were impressed.

I took Caroline to see Beauty and the Beast in 3D. And Reveille, the pillow pet, came with us.

William prefers to be held while we grocery shop. Its not ideal but he sure is cute.

Papa's Birthday

We went to Georgetown to celebrate my Dad's birthday with him at the beginning of January.

Both days we went to a park so Caroline could play. She loves her Papa!








On Wednesday, we went to the Green Mesquite BBQ in Austin on our way out of town. I love the pictures we took there!







In the outside eating area at Green Mesquite, there are huge chalkboards and Caroline had a great time drawing.  Here is a picture of Snowball - she wrote "cat" inside in case you didn't know what it was.

William at 6 months

William had his 6 month check up and, thankfully, he is still a healthy boy! He has not been sick or had a diaper rash yet...yay!

William's 6 month stats:
Height: 15th percentile

Weight: 50th percentile


The doctor told me to stop rocking him and nursing him to sleep. Do you see how cute this kid is?! ;)

Looking back at 2011

Its January 1, 2012 and we are watching CBS Sunday Morning. The show did a look back at the year and we realized how many significant things happened in the world this year. The death of Steve Jobs and the killing of Osama Bin Laden and Muammar Gaddafi. William and Kate's royal wedding. The launching of the last space shuttle. Occupy Wall Street. The Casey Anthony trial. (Don't forget Derek Jeter's 3000th hit. :))

For us, 2011 has been eventful as well. It was our first complete year in San Antonio. Kevin's first full year at his job. My first full year as a stay-at-home mom. William entered the world on June 22 and became our first and only son. Caroline blossomed this year into a magnificent girl and great big sister.

Last night we welcomed in the new year with our friends Mary and Paul Boland. We had a New Years Eve pajama party with them, complete with take out from Aldaco's mexican restaurant and playing Apples to Apples. At midnight, we went up to the deck on our second floor and watched fireworks all along the San Antonio horizon. Life is good. :)
