We are at the beach house in North Carolina right now and are really enjoying our time. I don't think we have been this relaxed in many years. Its cold, rainy, and windy outside which forces us to stay inside and play (and nap!). We have played "ball bounce" a lot with a beach ball. We thought Caroline would be bored staying inside but she refuses to leave the house. She is loving running up and down the stairs, riding the elevator, and having the full attention of her mom, dad, Nana and Papa. We've been reading books by the fireplace and Caroline is having lots of picnics in an upstairs closet with Nana and Papa.
We have been trying to play "Go Fish" with Caroline at the beach and she looks at her hand of cards and just starts passing them out to everyone to help them complete their set of each fish.
The weather is supposed to warm up and stop raining tomorrow so we're planning on getting a lot of beach time tomorrow!
In the meantime, here are some funny words/pronunciation/sayings from our little Sunshine lately...
"elelator" = elevator
"ebby-body" = everybody
Words that sound the same (I know its hard to picture this without hearing her say it)...
yellow and little
chocolate and Target
Caroline's sayings today...
To Kevin walking down the stairs at the beach house:
"Be careful walking down the stairs and hold my hand. If you aren't careful you will fall and it will make me sad and I will cry."
To my Dad when he was washing his hands:
"Turn the water off Papa, you have to save water."
To me while we were out for a jog in this crazy weather:
"Mommy, the wind is blowing hard so be careful!"
We will have lots of pictures of us hanging out around the house when we get back to Dallas. I will post them once we get over the depression of being home from vacation and having to get back to reality. :)
