The other day, Caroline said "Papa, what does your shoe say?" Apparently somewhere on my Dad's shoe, it said USA. When he told Caroline it said USA, she asked what that meant and he said "United States of America." As soon as he said that, Caroline said "I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America..." My parents said "Brooke, did you know Caroline knows the Pledge of Allegiance?" Of course I didn't. So here is Caroline saying the pledge of allegiance in front of the American flag that always flies on our front porch.
