We had a random rainstorm that evening and since she was acting fine we put on our bathing suits and ran in the rain. When we came back in from the rain, I took her temperature and is was 102.9. (The nurse at her pediatrician's office told me earlier to bring her in if it went over 101.)
So at this point it is around 7 PM and the pediatrician's office is closed. Because we had just been in Mexico and Caroline drank the water, including the pool water, we took her to the Pediatric Emergency Room. (This is our second trip to the ER this year - remember when she busted her head at Chick Fil-A?!)
It was the usual long wait at the ER but the kicker came when they wanted a urine sample from Caroline. Ha. She's 2. Ha. So after having her chug as much apple juice and water and she could (and a few hours wait), she provided a sample. We bribed her with a new princess dress to get her to go. :) Ends up she has a virus that causes high fever and, thankfully, no other symptoms.
Here she is with her baby Stella in the waiting room.

Here she is using a cord as a stethoscope to listen to baby Stella's heart.

Immediately after we declared victory and Caroline was awarded her new princess Belle dress.
She was so excited about the dress and even slept in it that night. She kept telling us she wanted to go in the hallway and show everyone her new dress. :)
That was Wednesday and today is Saturday. Her fever is lingering around 100 now and seems to get worse as the day goes on. But I think she is on her way to recovery!
