July 4th and fun with friends

On Thursday night, my friend Liji and I took our girls to see Toy Story 3. Caroline and Athena, Liji's daughter, have met multiple times but never spoken or really acknowledged each other. Of course, 2 weeks before we move the girls become great friends. They held hands during the movie and then took the hugging picture afterwards. (Sorry for the blurriness - they were taken with my Blackberry.)



Yesterday, Darby and her baby brother Brooks came over for a play date. Thankfully, Darby likes to play princess dress-up so that's all they did...for an hour and a half.

Today was the Lake Highlands 4th of July parade. I can't believe the was our first time to go because it was really fun!

Caroline and Darby watched the parade passively when we first arrived. This didn't last long!
The floats and cars threw candy so Caroline LOVED it!



I love how aggressive they all became. Caroline definitely held her own and tied with Emerson for the most candy collected (notice they are the two out front. )
