Storytime with Caroline

Caroline started making up stories today so I had her sit by the computer so I could type what she was saying. These cracked me up so I wanted to save them for her to read one day.  She loved that I was typing what she said and can read enough words to know if I didn't write something that she said. (Mainly, "and" and "the end" - which explains the excessive use of "and" in her stories.) I love these stories because it tells what's on her mind...

1.   Once upon a time there was a lady and she was pregnant. She had a baby boy in her belly and he was upside down. The lady's daughter wanted to name the baby Colby Jack. When her Papa heard the name Colby Jack, he laughed because it was a kind of cheese. And then the daughter said they could eat her little brother. The baby brother was really small at first when he came out of the mommy's tummy.  And when babies first come out of their mommy's tummy they don't want to play, just sleep. You have to be quiet with a baby brother so you don't wake him up..and always be in a good mood.
Then the little boy grew up and was a kid. Then the boy was a big kid. And then he turned into a teenager. And then he was an adult. He was a good adult because his big sister Caroline teached him well. The end.


2.   Once upon a time, there was a Manuel family group. The Manuel family group had a daughter named Caroline. The little girl had a baby brother in her mommy's tummy and it was upside down. And Daddy was the biggest one in the Manuel family. And her Mommy has bunco parties. And the baby plays bunco with the Mommy.  And baby brother is gone the whole time.  Baby brother drives with Mommy. And the end.


3.  Once upon a time, there was a baby in Mommy's tummy. And the daughter couldn't wait. Elizabeth's Mommy is going to have a baby shower for Mommy. And Elizabeth's Mommy told the big sister's Mommy that. Caroline was so excited when the parents told her on Christmas that she was going to have a baby brother because she had been asking for it. And she had a big sister shirt and she tried it on. And she loved it so much that she wanted to keep it. And then finally it came out. It had to wear diapers and the big sister took good care of it. So the Mommy and Daddy did too. The end.



4.   Once upon a time there was a girl and it was Christmas and Mommy and Daddy told her she was having a baby. And when the Mommy and Daddy told her she was jumping with excitement. Finally she had the baby that had to wear diapers for quite long and had a little circle on its tummy. The baby didn't care what it weared. It cried a lot. It went to a baby class for sib-a-lings. The sib-a-ling class told the little girl it would want anything when it cries so you have to try everything and even feed it and snuggle with it gently. The end.
